Welcome Coach Kevin Wengert to the Michigan Raptors Coaching Staff!

The Michigan Raptors are proud to welcome Coach Kevin Wengert to our coaching staff. Coach Wengert will lead the Raptors Defensive Line along with backing up Coach Jason Kolokithas as Assistant Defensive Coordinator.

Coach Wengert brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and proven success on the defensive side of the ball.

 Playing Career:

• 4-year standout at Adrian College, where his passion and knowledge for the game took root.

 Coaching Experience:

• 9 years at Livonia Franklin High School as the Defensive Line Coach, producing nine different players who broke the school’s sack record — including three in the same season (2017)!
• 4 years at Lawrence Technological University, serving as:
  • Defensive Line Coach (4 years)
  • Special Teams Coordinator (2 years)
  • Community Outreach Director (2 years)
  • Transfer Recruiting Coordinator (1 year)
• Most recently: Spent the last 2 seasons back at Livonia Franklin High School as the Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach, leading one of the toughest defenses in the area.

Coach Wengert brings energy, discipline, and championship-level coaching to the Raptors’ defense — and we can’t wait to see his impact this season!
