Michigan Raptors Fully Assembled and Ready to Hunt as Season Nears

Ann Arbor’s newest arena football team, the Michigan Raptors, is officially locked in and ready to eat. With the roster fully assembled and conditioning camp soon to be over, the Raptors are shifting gears and turning their full focus toward team practices beginning in February. The foundation has been laid, the work has been put in, and the excitement surrounding the program is growing by the day.
Conditioning camp marked the first major step in bringing this team together, and by all accounts, it was a success. Players pushed through demanding workouts, built chemistry, and embraced the culture the Raptors organization is establishing—one rooted in discipline, toughness, and pride in representing Ann Arbor.
Now, with practices on the horizon, the Raptors are eager to translate that preparation into execution on the field.
“You can feel it around the city already,” said one Ann Arbor fan. “We are excited to welcome the Raptors. It’s not just another football team—it’s Ann Arbor’s first professional team to rally behind. We’re ready to give support, pack the venue and be loud from day one.”
Players echo that same energy. Many see this season not just as an opportunity to compete, but to help build something lasting.
“Conditioning camp showed us what kind of team we can be,” said a Raptors player. “Everyone bought in. Nobody’s bigger than the program, and that’s powerful. We’re hungry, we’re focused, and we’re ready to prove ourselves.”
Another player added:
“We want the fans to know we’re putting in the work for them. Every sprint, every rep—it’s about representing this city the right way. When the season kicks off, they’re going to see a team that plays fast, physical, and with heart.”
From the coaching staff’s perspective, the early signs are exactly what they hoped to see.
“What stood out in camp was the commitment,” a member of the Raptors coaching staff said. “The effort level was high from day one, and that tells us we have the right group of men. Practices in February are where we start sharpening the details, but the mindset is already there.”
The message from the staff to fans is clear: this team is built to compete, and the journey is just beginning.
“We want fans to be part of this from the ground up,” the coach continued. “This is a new era of football in Ann Arbor. Bring the energy, bring the noise, and grow with us. We’re going to give this city something to be proud of.”
As the Michigan Raptors prepare to enter full team practices and inch closer to kickoff, one thing is undeniable—the program is off to a strong start. The roster is set, the culture is forming, and the Raptors are eager and ready to get this season going.
