Michigan Raptors Fall to Ohio Legends, Turn Focus Toward Redemption at Home

April 18, 2026 – Lima, Ohio

The Michigan Raptors faced a tough road challenge this past Saturday, falling to the Ohio Legends 67–24 in Lima, Ohio. Despite flashes of effort and determination, the Raptors were unable to find their rhythm in a game that quickly became difficult to manage on multiple fronts.

From the opening kickoff, momentum proved hard to come by for Michigan. The Legends capitalized early and often, building a lead that the Raptors struggled to chip away at. While the final score doesn’t tell the full story, it reflects a game that never quite swung in the Raptors’ favor.

Following the game, Head Coach Pitock did not hold back in expressing his frustrations:

“The game was full of league violations of rules and standards. There was no properly working time clock, and the officiating was not unbiased. We later learned referees had connections as friends and family to the Ohio Legends.”

“There were illegal offensive and defensive plays from start to finish, with not one official who seemed fully qualified or knowledgeable of the rules.”

Coach Pitock also made it clear that, despite the concerns, the team must take accountability:

“I’m not putting all the blame on that. We had a horrible game and effort. But it didn’t help that from the minute of the first kickoff, the odds felt completely stacked against us, not allowing any momentum to build.”

Even in the face of adversity, the Raptors are choosing to take the loss in stride. The team remains focused on growth, accountability, and improvement as they continue their inaugural season.

Now, all eyes turn to a critical bounce-back opportunity as the Raptors return home to Ann Arbor. They will face the Michigan Grizzlies at the Wideworld Sports Center, where the team looks to regroup, reset, and deliver a stronger performance in front of their home crowd.

The Raptors remain committed to the grind—learning from setbacks and pushing forward with one goal in mind: getting better every snap.
